Gayane ballet on the stage of The Bolshoi Theatre
On 24th of July National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiarian presented renowned composer Aram Khachaturianґs Gayane ballet on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. The performance was supported by the legendary Armenian brandy ARARAT.
The ballet, which returned to the Bolshoi Theatre after almost 60-year break was dedicated to three important jubilees related to the Armenian culture and statehood: 115th anniversary of Aram Khachaturyan, centennial of the First Republic of Armenia and the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan. The symphonic orchestra and the ballet dancers of the Opera theatre also took part in the performance, while the decorations were made based on the renowned Armenian painter Minas Avetisyan’s sketches.
Armenian Prime Minister’s spouse Anna Hakobyan as well as Minister of Culture of Armenia Lilit Makunts and representatives of culture and business of Armenia and Russia such as Zelfira Tregulova, Aliona Doletskaya, Gor Nahapetyan and others attended the performance. Before the start of the ballet the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Armenia to Russia Vardan Toghanyan, Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky and artistic director of the A. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet National Academic Theatre Konstantin Orbelyan welcomed the guests.
ARARAT legendary Armenian brandy supported the performance by providing reception at the Beethoven hall of the Bolshoi Theatre. The guests had an opportunity to enjoy 6-year-old ARARAT Ani as well as Noble Yerevan, Magnificent Backstage and ARARAT Punch cocktails made on the base of the legendary brandy.
