Museum Night 2019
Following the well-established tradition, ARARAT Museum once again joined the “Museum Night” international initiative by hosting hundreds of visitors. This time the event was dedicated to the celebrated artist Charles Aznavour and to revealing the new facets of his legacy. Thus, on May 18th the visitors participated in free tours through the permanent exhibition, which was complemented with special installation hommage to Aznavour.
Within the frames of the initiative the presentation of the Charles Aznavour’s “Retiens la vie” book took place at ARARAT Museum, which was translated into Armenian by newmag publishing house. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Jonathan Lacôte, famous French-Armenian singer Rosy Armen and other representatives of the culture attended the event. At the end of the evening the guests enjoyed ARARAT Charles Aznavour Signature Blend brandy, which is the result of collaboration between the celebrated artist and legendary Armenian brandy ARARAT, which started back in 2017.
Maestro’s “Retiens la vie” book was available to all the visitors of “Museum Night” initiative, who could purchase it with exclusive price from the pavilion of Bookinist bookstore placed next to the museum.
Revealing the new facets of the creative life of Charles Aznavour, a unique exhibition was presented earlier at ARARAT Museum — “Aznavour. Moments of Life”, where visitors could enjoy the photos taken by maestro himself.
